This is a 2-inch nominal size, press-fit tee made from wrot copper (copper with zinc alloyed to it for corrosion resistance). It is part of NIBCO's Press System, which is designed for joining copper tubing systems in residential and commercial applications, including potable, hot, chilled, and process water systems. The tee features an inboard bead and an EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) o-ring, which is compressed by applying pressure from a pressing tool to create a tight seal.
